My senior thesis project, a 100+ page book about the history of the modern horror movie. All type was ragged by hand and all images were manually duotoned and tinted. The book was entirely printed and bound by yours truly. Design inspiration was pulled from antique books and old grave stones, as seen in the margins, typography, and page number formatting. Each chapter started with an illustrated custom drop-cap reflecting the themes of that chapter. Each page was a french fold, allowing for a subtle pop of blood red with each page turn.
